The crew quarters and other such rooms are made smaller in order to make room for recreational rooms such as Holodecks, and more practical rooms such as said Science Labs. The members of the Science Departments are responsivle for creating and maintaining maps and star charts. ==

T'Varel looked at the screen in front of her. It read,
"The probe is venting a highly unstable ferroelectric plasma. If it comes in contact with the high ammonia atmosphere, it will highly likely produce a potentially explosive reaction as it converts to hydrazine compounds."
T'Varel grinned. She had done a scenario almost exactly like this halfway through her first year at the Academy.
She looked towards a young Ferengi male that had appeared. A hot flash of anger washed over her.
I can't believe that they would make a Ferengi officer part of my program. Vile, despicable creatures.

Resisting the overwhelmingly human urge to hit him on the side of the head, T'Varel opened her mouth to speak, struggling to converse in a measured Vulcan tone.
T'Varel said,
"I believe that we can use a tractor beam to pull the probe in away from the planet. Then, we can douse it with a neutralizing agent to stabilize the unstable ferroelectric plasma in one of the Cargo Bays."

The Ferengi male turned to a female Bajoran Ensign seated at the engineering station.

Bira Pelys gave a brief nod to confirm T'Varel's solution was possible.
T'Varel inputed the sequence into the computer in order to see if everything would work.
