Hallowette took a plate and stood to the side watching the others talk and group organically. She settled near Aeryn and greeted her friends warmly.
On occasion her eyes would drift to Mara and Robin, and as she took a bite of the barbequed food, she took a moment to enjoy the flavors, the aroma and the subtle smoke that accompanied it. She had never been much of a meat eater, being raised more or less vegan on Trill, she hadn't really been introduced to heavily animal derived foods until she settled with her Father. Being from Bajor, his tastes were much more edged towards meat and spice than she was used to, but she quickly grew to enjoy both. Spice especially resonated with the part of her that was Bajoran, and she was quick to add heat to anything she ate if available.
"Hey Aeryn, are you religious at all?" Hally asked her friend, the overheard conversation between Mara and Robin prompting her own inquisitiveness. As a half Bajoran, Hallowette had often fielded questions concerning the divine. Those from other species seemed to find her Father's people to be an oddity, especially human's, given they had somewhat moved past organized spirituality once they reached the stars, but the questions had never really bothered her. She herself had only recently considered the Prophets place her in her life, and she found speaking with others, even non Bajorans seemed to sharpen their place in her life.
As Robin and Harriman began to leave, she smiled at both, and then waved over Mara, "Hey Chief, I got a piece of pie that has whisky in it - I can't metabolize alcohol, so you want it?"
