At some point in his composing, Tes became increasingly aware of the growing feeling in his gut. He was hungry. He had nothing in his system but two cups of raktajino this morning, and the smell of food was just growing stronger. His fast metabolism didn’t help much, either.
I suppose something to eat can’t hurt.
Tes powered off his DataPADD and put it back into his crossbody bag, slinging it back over his shoulder. He stood up and walked across the green, shiny grass towards the table stocked with food. He looked over the available food.
He went down the table and eventually gathered a plate with meat and salad, all the while running the risk of small talk. He reached the end and opened one of the coolers, grabbing a beer.
Just one. Can’t have a repeat of the last time I had more than one beer…
Once he had his sustenance together, he walked over to the gazebo and sat at an empty table. He placed his bag next to him on the floor beside the bench and pulled out his DataPADD, powering it back on. Now that he had his brain food, he believed that his composition would go more smoothly.
He took a bite of the meat. It was tender and juicy and somewhat salty. He wasn’t quite expecting the kick and stifled a small cough.
God. I hope no one heard that…
His face went a royal blue in embarrassment as he attempted to continue his project nonchalantly while his mouth burned.
