Personal Log
Beno Velaul recording.
This is one mission that I am glad is behind us, I am equally as proud to be a part of it. I didn't realize on how burnt out I have become until I could start toning it down a little, when the clock is ticking there is no time for rest. With the threat of war starting is enough to keep on high alert at all times, innocent lives depended on it on both sides. War is hell was coined by someone who didn't know what they were talking about. War is War Hell is Hell.. Where no innocent people get sent to hell, where War is completely full of them.
When President Khushku and General Alukh were here I was extremely happy to see them both, I wasn't expecting the General yo visit but again glad he did. We have a mutual level of respect that did come through every now and again, we are two Solders doing what we can to keep our people safe.
As we were going over everything we discussed on the surface, I didn't fully realize what I was doing until the overview. My team was amazing that really knew how to come together, they are a true asset to the uniform. Our Doctors did a wonderful job on Jonas, the odds of survival were remarkably low. Their efforts made it easier to keep the peace process alive, the other Ambassador seemed more concerned about herself than anyone else.
It wasn't the outcome the Federation want but all in all its the best one we could get, Riani might not be joining us right now but the door is still open to it with a better feeling both sides about it. One day they will join the Federation when they are ready, with any luck I will still be alive for it.
After President Khushku and General Alukh left the ship, I felt for the first time since it started like I could stand down. I felt light headed for the briefest of seconds, I am not sure who kept me from falling over but glad they did. Everyone was starting to sound like they were far away from me, until I recieved my next wind. Not sure what one it was, but I lost count after six. Understanding all sides of the same problem really wore me out to the point that I almost had nothing left, on the other hand the Horseman of War didn't get a chance to ride today. That alone was worth the efforts, I can sleep soundly now knowing a single action of a person didn't end up in war with people who are not our enemy.
Over all I couldn't have asked for a better Crew, the only thing I can ask for is a wake up call in three days for just incase I am still asleep.
End Log.
