Mara soon joined them, answering Hally's question about the pie with a firmness that had Hally quickly apologising. Hally hadn't known about Mara being teetotal, and now that she did, it would certainly make things easier next time. They were still learning new things about one another after all, and this would be one of those times. Both Hally and Mara filled their plates, with Hally also grabbing a bottle of the citrus squash and a bottle of sparkling water. This allowed Aeryn to add veggies to her plate and pick up a second beer before all three of them headed back to the table.

Settling back down, Aeryn looked over at her friends when Mara asked more about them. A smile spread on the redhead's lips at the thought of the happily married pair of men, as reinforcements arrived with supplies, and to lend a hand. " Gray and his husband Mitchell", she began, " I've known them for about ten years now, ever since I first started hiking in the Lake District. They're a lot of fun, love a good gossip, and I'm looking forward to showing you their pub later, it's where I've been staying since I got here".

While there were plenty of little B&Bs and a hotel, there was just something about the quaint little pub that Aeryn loved, plus she doubted she could get away with staying anywhere else if the couple knew she was in town.
