== Just before arriving at Earth ==
Having spent the last few days communicating with her friends Gray and Mitchell to discuss plans for the crew BBQ, making the necessary arrangements and sending the invitations, Aeryn was looking forward to putting everything into action. A lot of thought had gone into this, especially after the last mission, and the redhead couldn't wait to visit Grassmere again, finding it the perfect location for some proper R&R with real scenery, real weather, not to mention stunning views and getting the chance to reconnect and decompress all at the same time. In preparation for their arrival, Aeryn had completed all of her department evaluations and reports. Science was relatively quiet except for a couple of projects that should be finished by the time the ship arrived at its destination.
All Aeryn could do now was to start thinking about packing for the trip, sort out Whiskers, as he would be going with her, although she had a sneaky feeling he would end up wanting to stay with her friends. Not that she would blame him, considering where they were going, with all that open space and freedom, but she wasn't worried, and besides, all she cared about was having some proper time away.
Upon entering her quarters, Aeryn greeted Whiskers as she always did, fussing over him before going into the bedroom. Naturally, Whiskers followed, as Aeryn stripped out of her workout gear, the trip to the ship's gym being just what she needed to let off some steam and get the adrenaline flowing. Feeling better, Aeryn decided to take a bath rather than a shower, so while she set it going, and after adding bubble bath to it, the redhead got out towels, thinking she would tackle the packing once she was relaxed and chilled.
Soon, everything was ready, and Aeryn instructed the computer to play one of her playlists as she got in and sank into the bath. Letting out a contented sigh, she absentmindedly began to sing along to the song that was playing.
