Jez entered the Bridge, and she gazed at Riani, as if she was seeing it for the first time. These last several months were less than ideal, with nation-states fighting with each other. assassinations, espionage, intrigue, it had it all. Jez thought about General Alukh; the man radiated a weird vibe. If it were up to Jez, she wouldn’t trust him. They held a meeting with him above a casino, or was it a bar? Jez really couldn’t tell; either way, it wasn’t an appropriate place for a diplomatic meeting. And at that meeting, General Alukh seemed evasive, and his body language seemed to contradict what he was saying.
Ambassador Jonas Weisbrantz seemed like a man who was put into a situation that was beyond his control. He seemed like a family man, a husband, a father. Granted, Jez only observed him. Jonas was a vocal advocate for your Federation ideals, according to President Khushku.
President Khushku was a strong leader, advocating for her people. Jez liked the President; she clearly believed in many of the ideals of what the Federation believed in. The big question was, could Khushku handle the trials and tribulations of trying to unite the people of Riani?
Jez stood there all these question ran through her mind, but the biggest question was why was The Federation even involved with a planet like Riani, a planet without a unified Planetary government, didn’t the Federation Council realize that if they forged an alliance with one nation state on Riani that it would create jealousy, resentment, envy and outrage among the other nation states, thus destabilizing the entire planet. But for now, Jez had more important issues to contend with.
Jez approached the command center, where Commander Velaul and Captain Brooks were. She could feel her pulse racing as this was one of the most important decisions she would make. Her nerves were firing at full intensity, her heart was beating like a drum,
“Excuse me, sirs, may I have a word with you in private?” Said Jez, her voice filled with uncertainty.
