Jez wasn’t sure she agreed with Commander Velaul’s assessment of the situation, in that in Jez’s opinion, the General couldn’t be trusted, period, end of discussion. The General chose a Casino because most casinos are obliged to have an extensive array of security cameras and recorders that monitor and record all the action in a casino, which can be used to resolve some disputes. Some casinos use facial recognition software to detect known cheats and criminals, but what's to say that the apartment up above didn’t have similar devices in place?

“Also, this is just a general recommendation, but I think that from now on, the Federation should make use of their Telepaths more than they do. If a gifted Telepath like Commander Talion, Commander Kurasa, or I had been allowed to read these people, this mission may have gone a lot smoother than it did. I’m not saying we read every person we meet, but ones that may have a certain past, for example, the General had mentioned that in the past they had a relationship with the Cardassians. In many people’s opinion, that means they deserve a closer scrutiny.” Said Jez.
Jez sat there waiting for her commanding officers to respond to what she had said, and what she suggested, but also to her request for them to be Godparents to her unborn child.
