<<< Sickbay <<<

The main doors to Main Engineering wooshed open as A’kilees came through. His last current task was to check the power draw of the cryogenic stasis pods effect on the Sickbay’s power grid which he had hastily hardwired into the EPS conduit of the surgical arch a while before. He would admit it wasn't a pretty job to say the least and wouldn't win any awards besides creativity but it was functioning as needed for the moment. He would need to return back to Sickbay in the near future once the new replacement pieces for the surgical arch had been replicated and the matter of the cryopods was settled, but that was a decision for Commander Ameen, Chief Keir 77 and the rest of the bridge crew to figure out.

The tall saurian strode into Engineering, smiling and nodding politely to the members of the crew who he passed by. A’kilees looked around the large room as he headed over towards the master systems display table, watching his fellow department colleagues hard at work and admiring the overall structure of the bay itself. The Zephyr would probably need to return to drydock in the near future to receive some well deserved repairs after what the crew and the ship had just been through. There was also the matter of the full engineering inspection that would need to be completed in the near future as well which A’kilees was looking forward to participating in.

Continuing to make his way through the bay he spotted Raven, sporting her classic engineering overalls while talking to some other engineers and a science crewmember on the other side of the Engineering bay. A’kilees had been grateful to the ensign for her warm welcome since arriving and her extensive knowledge of the vessel had certainly helped the saurian up to speed after coming aboard. He gave the ensign a quick and friendly wave of greetings in her direction before he took his place at the large display table.

Performing an energy diagnostic would be a breeze for the saurian and he hummed a soft but lively operatic tune while he began checking the EPS powerflow. A’kilees was looking forward to when his shift was over though he wasn’t quite sure what he would do. Perhaps meet up with the other members of the away team and have a celebratory drink in the crew mess? He wondered how many people would show up if he sent out a few invitations. His fellow crew members would probably come, but would the senior officers show if he extended a request to them? He thought about this for a while as he poured over the LCARS operating system.
