Lucy had lost herself in the scenery. It was good to remember the planet you came from even if this neck of the woods was somewhat chilly. She’d missed the hiking group and was considering going for a walk when things happened. She distracted herself by grabbing a couple of burgers and some kind of orange drink called squash. She’d put charred onions and ketchup on one and something called burger relish on the other.
Aeryn and Robin had ensured a lack of fatalities. Lucy felt that she was discovering that she had a lot of types. Mara wasn’t Terran, but she was quite the Amazon. Beka’s acquaintances were not the kind of trouble this shoreleave needed. Lucy tried to focus on her burgers. She tried to focus on decimating her first burger systematically. This was one time where an eidetic memory was a curse, distinctly best kept to herself.
A young Andorian had arrived around the same time as Beka. Lucy kinda felt sorry for the fella. She was trying to put in the work to stop being the one who was the cause of chaos. She was reasonably certain she didn’t have any t-shirts in Mara’s size or style. They’d need to be a custom fit with that build.
Neon pink elephants, Just think of neon pink elephants.
The squash was good. California orange juice was more Lucy’s thing, but this was good. She wasn’t certain if she should go for a walk around the lake or stay put for the moment. Whoever made the burgers had done a really good job. Hot and there was something about the fat content in beef. She was careful as there seemed to be a balance between juice and that charred outer edge.
