“Sorry you had to see that," Robin said to the Andoran medic. She rubbed her temple in frustration and sat down, massaging her legs for a moment. The ache would fade rapidly. She didn't have the endurance of Khan-type Augment but her genetically-engineered body healed very rapidly and moves like that didn't result in more than a minute's discomfort. "Our crew is kinda crazy sometimes, but we get the job done."
Tes looked up at the CMO. His antenna closest to Robin was first to turn, then the rest of his head. It seemed to be a permanent habit of his, to hear the person first, then see them. And, ever alert, his antennae were on a constant swivel.
During the altercation, he had finished the segment of the movement he was composing. He had also finished his beer and the plate of food in front of him.
He gave a kind smile. “Oh, no, it’s alright. Conflicts happen. I’m just glad it was resolved rather bloodlessly.”
And he was telling the truth. Halfway, at least. Although he hated conflict, Tes spent nearly every waking moment with the feeling that something was going to happen, so, though as bad as it sounds, it felt reassuring in a way when something did actually happen. Reassuring how, he really didn’t know. Maybe reassuring him that he wasn't crazy for feeling that.
"If you want I'll be aboard next week to work on personnel updates. Swing by my office and we can do a more formal check-in without this sort of nonsense." Robin chucked. "Welcome to the Artemis."
“I’ll take you up on that,” Tes replied. “Thank you.”
