“I’d say it’s not always like this around here, but it pretty much is. At least, the bit around me always seems to be. Beka Sydesh. Good to meet you.”
Tes watched as the doctor sat down next to him. He gave a small, albeit crooked, smile to her. His cleft lip meant that any smile he had pulled up significantly more on the right side of his mouth. It made it look more like a sneer, but anyone who knew Tes knew he wasn’t the kind to be throwing sneers around.
“Tes Th’etellis. A pleasure to meet you as well.”
He placed the DataPADD he had been working on face down on the table.
“It’s alright. The craziness, I mean. I had a friend in the Academy: Santtu Uljas. Everywhere he went, it seemed, chaos and nonsense followed.”
And he meant it. This one incident wasn't going to damn his perceptions of the crew, he was going to make sure of that. He’d form his own opinions and views over time.
