Robin had just grabbed her bag when Beka arrived. She hadn't originally planned to go riding but the opportunity was just too tempting to pass up, and luckily she had packed a jeans and off-white blouse combo that was perfect for it. She would change in town before heading over to the stables. Real, non-holographic horses! She hadn't ridden since she'd left Iota Tau. Whatever else she was at her core Robin Mayfair was a country girl, the daughter of a rancher, and horseback riding was in her blood.
Her friend seemed to be in a slightly better mood, or at least wasn't willing to drag a new medic into it. Good. The CMO hadn't wanted to force the issue, but this was part of her job. She had to make sure her officers behaved like officers. Beka had been there for Robin since the beginning on the Artemis, only a couple of weeks after the Megasphere battle, and the purple-haired nurse was eternally grateful that she had treated her like a human instead of 'the Augment.' And that meant she did get a bit of leeway when it came to orders. The tattooed redhead may have doubted her ability to do the job of Head Doctor, but Robin had no doubts... even if she needed a kick in the butt sometimes.
Tes seemed to be taking it in stride. "It’s alright. The craziness, I mean. I had a friend in the Academy: Santtu Uljas. Everywhere he went, it seemed, chaos and nonsense followed."
That got a chuckle from Robin. "Good. You'll fit right in, then." She turned to her friend.
"Real quick, Beka, before I head out. I had a talk with that... officer." The scorn in her voice was unmistakable. "I can't force her to do it, obviously, but I suggested she offer you a sincere apology. Don't know if she will. It's entirely up to you whether you want to press charges. She did assault a superior, even if that barely counts as a tap for a martial artist. If you don't want to let it slide you might want to let Nat handle the details so you don't have to talk to Mara." The CMO gave a noncommittal shrug. "Whatever you decide I'm cool with it."
She slung her bag over her shoulder. "Good meeting you, Tes. See you on board the ship."
