Sebastian Cortez is asking IC to be called by Pedro - is this something we should update to his Wiki as a nickname possibly?
The naming customs of Hispanic America are similar to the Spanish naming customs practiced in Spain, with some modifications to the surname rules. Many Hispanophones in the countries of Spanish-speaking America have two given names, a paternal surname (primer apellido or apellido paterno) and a maternal surname (segundo apellido or apellido materno).
If Sebastian's parents subscribed to the typical Spanish naming convention It would be Sebastian Pedro Cortez Aguilar, but his parents are not conventional parents.
Sebastian's full name is Sebastian Pedro Aguilar Cortez; his mother is a lover of Classical Music, Johann Sebastian Bach. And his father is a huge fan of early American Rock Music, particularly Fats Domino. After a great deal of discussion, his mother and father agreed that a Mexican rarely, if ever, has the first name of Johann, and Fats Cortez didn't seem right, so they settled on Sebastian, but to Sebastian, it sounds snooty, so he uses his Saint Name of Pedro. His family and friends all call him Pedro. He answers to both. If you want to add it as a nickname, it's fine with me, but don't go to any trouble.
