Gath entered the Bridge and paused as he glanced around to take in the situation. The computer had told him that Ra'an was still there and she was who he was looking for. Calmly approaching her, he said, "Lieutenant Ra'an, I believe my preparations are as complete as we can hope for. I also don't believe in coincidence, at least in this matter."
His tone was personal, yet professional. He was taking the time to convey his thoughts without allowing his normally strong voice to dominate the Bridge. "I won't try to presume that I understand why these people are the way they are, but the entire situation feels very deliberate. The ship was not intended for a return trip and although we can't be sure where they were intended to be delivered as a destination, they were prepared to survive much more than the average crew could possibly endure. We might never know id they were intended to be able to reseed a new world or not, but the loss of their ship and possible cargo means we might never find answers. What I do know is that it would likely be dangerous for them to be awakened on THIS ship. We're not as prepared for such an encounter as might be optimal."
Gath gave a small sigh, then softened to a more personal expression, "However, I try to plan for all variables as best I can. Should any of them become conscious, I have prepared a holodeck program. I have maximized efforts for safety without risk of harm. We also know that they can be transported and that they are extremely resilient by design. If need be, they can even be transported outside of the ship for a short duration, to keep them from interacting with anything or anyone. I have someone standing by on transporter duty and suggest we keep that station manned at all times, but we always have the computer capable of emergency control if required."
He was almost apologetic now, "I'm telling you this, because you and your department are the most deeply involved in this situation. You need to know what I know so that you can do your job the best possible. My job is to simply keep everyone safe. The Captain expects us to be a good team and I feel this is our best approach. I hope you agree."
Gath politely waited for her response.
