"Dr. O'Fee probably has a better answer," Amila replied. "They seemed to make it over here okay - and still in stasis. I've been in the lab with what we hope is the ship's main data recorder. Hopefully we know more soon..."
Powl nodded in the affirmative to Lieutenant Ra'an. There were more questions than answers regarding the mysterious passenger they just brought aboard. While the exact physiological construction seemed to be still under investigation, as was their hopeful destination, learning all of these pieces could have the potential of unveiling a great hoard of information regarding the state of the galaxy so many years ago. A part of time in which Star Fleet had absolutely no record.
"Agreed. The Zephyr is taking a significant risk and hazard by attempting the rescue. Additionally, we are now increasing that risk level and possible peril by investigating aboard our vessel. We take these risks because, ultimately, this is what we do as Star Fleet. Exploration, by its very nature, is wrought with risk and danger. At least we are satisfying our primary mission."
As Powl finished what he was saying, Lieutenant Gath appeared in the turbolift and walked directly to Lieutenant Ra'an. Zephyr's chief of security was a competent officer who always seemed to perceive potential risks and mitigate them where others simply would not have even considered. In his report to Ra'an, it appeared he was once again performing in the same fashion with regard to their new guests.
"...The Captain expects us to be a good team, and I feel this is our best approach. I hope you agree."
Torok nodded, although he was not being addressed. He seemed to have the situation under control, as best as possible anyway.
