The saurian midshipman had returned from repairing the plasma flow distribution relay on Deck 5 and just as he was considering getting to his other tasks, he suddenly received a communique from the Chief Science Officer, Amila Ra’an.
[Lieutenant Ra’an to Midshipman A’kilees, on the Captain’s orders, I'm going to need your assistance in the Science Lab. We need to turn the space into a Faraday cage. Bring what you need and meet me there. Midshipman Cortez and Petty Officer sh’Sjöress are already there.]
A’kilees chuckled to himself. There hadn’t been a single dull moment since the Broken Arrow away mission and he found himself quite busy performing various duties all over the ship along with the rest of the engineering crew. It was quite surprising that Commander Ameen had delegated him personally to perform this assignment, but the saurian considered that his recent performance had shown the commander that he was capable of various engineering responsibilities around the vessel. He wasn’t quite sure of the reason for turning the lab into a Faraday cage but he was sure that he would be informed when he arrived. A’kilees pressed his comm badge.
[A’kilees to Lieutenant Ra’an, *click*acknowledged, I’ll meet you, Cortez and sh’Sjöress at the Science Lab right away.]
Still equipped with his engineering kit from his last task, A’kilees quickly made his way back through the Engineering Bay doors and towards the turbolift.
