“Can I get you anything while I’m up?” Beka asked.
Tes looked over at Beka as she asked, folding two thin blue hands in front of him on the table. His stomach growled at the prospect of more food. He had a fast metabolism, even for an Andorian, so he was almost perpetually hungry. Anyone that knew Tes knew that he could put down food like nobody’s business. And yet, he never gained a single pound. It had its own issues, of course. He couldn’t sit for long periods of time, his ribs were perpetually visible, and his hips stuck out where his ilium was, which made all his clothing fall odd on his body.
“Some more meat would be nice,” Tes gave his reply. “But, um…”
He hesitated, then added with a sheepish smile.
“Would you ask him to… hold the salt, please?”
