Torok turned his attention very precisely focused on Amila.
"It's very strange, but the stasis pods are connected in a series circuit of sorts, and keeping power to them has been an ongoing struggle since their systems aren't compatible with ours," she added. "Dr. O'Fee and the engineering department has been concerned that disconnecting one will have a cascading effect. If we were to accidentally wake up all of them because of a power glitch." Amila shruged and looked to the security chief. "Well, the Chief has already explained to us the potential risks."
Torok listened intently and made it very visible to have a very concerned look, at least his best look of being so. He nodded at the appropriate points in paying very close attention to her. And then of course looking resigned to her conclusion.
"Lieutenant Powl, your assessment of our... precarious power situation is incredibly astute," Ameen said, his tone perfectly matching the Vulcan's formal professionalism, though his eyes gleamed with approval. "Given the massive power draw of the alien stasis pods, and the absolute necessity of maintaining the structural integrity of this aged vessel, it would be highly irresponsible of us to stress our engines right now. Drop our speed to Warp One. We wouldn't want to risk a ship-wide power failure before our heavily armed escort arrives."
Powl nodded once again to Captain Ameen. "Helm reduce speed to Warp 1."
After issuing the order, Powl stood aside from the command chair to make room for Captain Ameen to take his place.
