Jez felt awful for what she said to Mike, but she was just trying to understand. She hurt Mike; she instantly regretted what she said, but how can she take back what she said? Mike was the only family she had. Yes, her siblings were safe, her nanna was Safe on Betazed. She hadn’t spoken with her siblings in a few years. Yes, she sent communications to them, and they took weeks to reply, if at all.

What do I tell my children about their grandparents? How do I answer their questions when they ask, " Who is their daddy? " and " Where is their daddy? Mike hates me. I have no idea what to do. No doubt Mike hates me now. Can the Captain trust my judgement as his Chief of Security?
