Kalli noticed that the party was starting to wrap up a bit. Some people were clustering together in small groups, a sure sign that some would move to their own after-party. It made her smile to see that some things never changed.
Part of her had wanted to go over and talk with Alex and catch up, but it looked like he was a little busy. She hadn't seen him that happy in quite some time. She was happy for them though. They deserved to be happy. Those thoughts tugged at her heart strings though and she could feel a tear trying to form in the corner of her eye.
Giving a big sigh, she forced herself to get up and leave. Yep, those last thoughts had done it. She supposed she had enjoyed more wine than she should have and now she was thinking about love. She both loved and hated it when it happened. She hated being sad, but she didn't regret having the memories that she was sad about. Either way, it was time to go, so she headed out to go have a good cry and sleep it off.
