“Sydesh to Th’etellis. Can you join me in bay 4 please. I have your first patient.”
“On my way,” came the response from the other side of the commbadge.
Tes came in soon after, the doors sliding open before him and sliding shut after. Now in uniform, he was pulling his white hair into a ponytail at the back of his head, snapping the band with finality as he walked in.
“Midshipman Tes Th’etellis reporting for duty.”
He spotted Ejid, the injured Bolian security officer and the other security officer, a human, as he came into Bay 4. He came over to the pair and stood beside Lieutenant Sydesh.
“What happened here?”
The question was directed towards the other doctor beside him. His antennae focused on Ejid. Seeing the way the Bolian was holding his arm, he was already making assumptions.
A dislocated shoulder, perhaps. Or a torn rotator cuff, depending on the direction of injury…
He saw the immense pain on Ejid’s face and the panic on the other officer’s face.
If he’s in that much pain, it’s probably not a sprain or a muscle strain. It could be a fracture, but- Tes, you should hear the damn story first…
