Sovar was someone she didn't know well enough yet and so Aeryn kept herself from adding how she sometimes used the word intriguing when referring to either member of the sexes in a more romantic and personal way. Her short-lived relationship with Beka hadn't put her off the idea of dating women again, but for the time being Aeryn was content in her own skin to be single for a while. After all it wasn't uncommon for her to be that way and if the opportunity did arise she would be in the right headspace.
The new FO and perhaps a potential friend then thanked her for indulging him with his inquisitiveness regarding red hair. “ I rather quite enjoyed discussing it Commander and would happily do so again on any subject or if you have any other insights”.
Talking to a like minded individual enabled Aeryn to show her true self just as she would with Mara, Hally, Robin or any of her other friends and maybe Sovar would also be counted among them. The conversation reverted back to what Aeryn had mentioned earlier with Sovar being interested in what Artemis and specifically her team were focusing their efforts on.
“ Mainly the phenomenon we encounter on our travels, collecting and analysing the data we get from it, or if faced with a specific issue or problem relating to a mission. Although I do encourage personal projects, I have one myself that involves cross pollination and creating new and more sufficient food items. Can I show you where I was prior to our meeting?”
