A’kilees nodded. “Of course, give me a few minutes and I’ll secure the module.” Making his way over to the alien device, he removed any nearby devices and picked up the dense crystalline utilitarian device with little effort. It was fairly light in his hands despite its solidity and heavy appearance. He could easily just have carried it in one hand, but being conscious of the device and its importance he placed it firmly against his chest and hurried along to follow Amila out of Science Bay along the Zephyr’s hallways to the turbolift to head down to the holodecks.
“Lieutenat Ra’an, *gruk* will you be needing me after we set up the module in the holodecks?” A'kilees asked as he walked along beside her down the corridor. “I know you’ll need me to provide an explanation of the breakthrough we made of the device, but afterwards?” A’kilees was curious as to if he was going to either witness the upcoming first contact after the alien was awoken or would he be relieved to continue on with his other engineering duties that were required of him in other departments.
