Mike couldn’t believe what Jez was saying. Yes, he understood the protective nature of a mother, even a prospective mother. Mike enjoyed the walk to his quarters with Andrea. He turned to her and said,” You want to come in for a Nightcap?”
Mike’s quarters were the standard Star Fleet guest quarters, Maroon and Beige all around with the obligatory Space scene art hanging on the walls, because Odin knows the window doesn’t provide the real thing; it made no sense.
Mike was truly worried about the events of the last few hours. He never realized how angry, how damaged Jez was. He knew that Jez just needed some sleep and a good workout.

Mike was unaware of Jez's romantic feelings towards him. “Andrea, why in the world would she want to use my DNA? There must be a way that we can ensure that Jez gets full unquestionable custody.” Said Mike, his tone protective.
