“Is the uniform really a deal breaker? Why can't I science without the uniform? I think I can science without the uniform. Is that an option?"

"To the last, that was I think what humans call, metaphorical. You're welcome to wear Klingon armor and call yourself my apprentice, but I think the Captain might take issue with me waiving ship discipline. As for holodeck programs not being real enough, I think you can help me in that regard."
Kal-Geal pulled out another PADD for Papaver that had the basic frameworks of a Holodeck wilderness survival program. "I came from a world where survival and strength are valued above many other aspects. And frankly, I think that most of the programs I've tried to design are stale, hollow, or otherwise, dull. So, would you be able to help me design a program that evokes the need for survival, without having to turn off the holodeck safeties? For some reason, the Federation is not like the Klingon Empire, and doesn't like people disabling the safeties."
Kal-Geal lapped up the water from the bowl before tearing off a piece of the steak to eat, "And, I don't think you'll need your uniform to help me with designing that program."
