No matter how nervous Emma felt during the dance he wanted to press on, the first time you do anything is always going to be hardest. There were only a couple of places that Dean placed his hands that felt any different, the rest basically felt the same. The dance itself felt like everything about it was wrong, but no one cared it wasn't really about the dance.
After the dance Emma knew there wax something there, not exactly between the two boys. For them both this could provide to be a one of, whempn the dance was over Emma got a kiss on the palm reminiscing old poetry. The best part about being young is having time to figure things out. The fact Dean was still there after learning the truth was a little surprising, most would have left.
"Sure we will figure something out." There was still what he was going to tell people, this was why people when young have so much time. They were the wonder years, you really wonder when you are going to figure something out even if it is just breakfast.
