Charlotte and Emery had divided the stasis chambers in half, and each were walking the length of their half. The two continued to monitor the stasis chambers for any sign of change with the aliens inside them, while the two engineers on scene checked and rechecked the tenuous power supply that was keeping things operational.
The security chief had stationed a team nearby, but they were keeping their distance and staying quiet while the team worked. There wasn't a danger of any of them breaking through the chambers with any sudden movements -- it would be a process of administering their medication to even keep them alive should and of the units fail. And unfortunately, the incompatibility between Federation technology and theirs, meant they still hadn't completely resolved the issue that these pods were established in a series circuit, meaning if one went, the engineers would have a challenge to keep the others operational - especially if it were a unit at the beginning or the middle of the chain.
The coagulant and the sedatives were ready, Charlotte just hoped that First Contact was going well and that they could wake the others up peacefully.
