<<< Holodeck <<<
The doors whooshed open and the saurian engineer made his way through the Sickbay entrance. Ameen, Evie and the Apex Prime had already arrived by being transported in. Ameen was accompanying the Prime who was now closely inspecting some of the pods while Evie was already hard at work delegating tasks to memebr of her staff while the others were occupied in their own duties. A few members of security stood guard nearby watching over everything occurring, some eyeing the newly reanimated Apex Prime with mild suspicion while remaining professional.
Taking a moment to look around himself, A’kilees examined the cryopods, the various power cables and the hardwired EPS unit located in the surgical arch, all the things that he had previously had worked on a few hours ago. The pods were glowing green indicating they were receiving power directly from the Zephyr’s power grid and the cables were still stowed away safely so as to not impede the medical staff of their duties. Overall, he felt quite accomplished in his quick work albeit looking a little rough. Cocking his head to the side to peer around some personnel, A’kilees noticed the forgotten outer casing of the surgical arch in the far corner of Sickbay. It had been propped up against the wall away from everything else, still bearing the large dent that he had dealt it as he had thrown it away to get to the main power distribution earlier.
“Should probably get that replaced soon.” A’kilees muttered to himself, folding his arms together. He had promised the Doctor earlier that he would replace it soon but he had been so busy going from deck to deck for different tasks that he hadn’t had time to replicate a replacement. A’kilees had been thinking of adding a sliding panel into the casing design so that future access to the EPS would be seamless but he hadn’t been able to make it down to Engineering long enough to even make a prototype schematic. He still hated leaving the job half done but he knew had plenty of tasks to complete before replacing anything. “All in good time I guess.” he said, sighing resignedly and pressed on his combadge with his clawed fingers which chirped back in response.
[A’kilees to Lieutenant Ra’an, I’ve arrived in Sickbay and am standing by. You may begin the transfer when ready.]
Waiting for a response back from the science labs, A’kilees thought this would be a good opportunity to talk to Evie about a prior task that he had finished up a little while back as per her previous request. She hadn’t been present when he had finished earlier so he thought now would be a good time to remind her. Making his way through medical, the saurian headed straight over towards the Doctor and waited to get her attention.
“Doctor O’Fee, your subroutine that we discussed earlier is ready.” A’kilees stated and then leaned forward speaking in a hushed tone as to not be heard by the Apex Prime. “If something should *ahem* go wrong feel free to implement it with your codeword. If you need me I’ll be nearby.” and he made his way swiftly over to a nearby wall console near the commander and the Prime waiting for a reply from the Science Labs.
