It was one thing to be joined by Lucy, who was already a couple of ranks higher than Ardanna, although the security officer liked to think she could see past rank when it came to socialising outside of duty hours. As long as they didn't think they were better than anyone else, then they were alright in the brunette's book. But what she wasn't expecting, as Lucy answered Hally's question, was seeing Chief Calleja; it soon became obvious that she was known to Hally and Ju, not surprising really considering the last mission and quite frankly Ardanna had massive respect for the Bandaran, who always made it known that she was one of them, just like Chief Miller before her.
With the promise of being introduced to either K-pop or a K-drama, Ardanna had to admit she was looking forward to girls' night as Mara teased her about her cooking skills or lack thereof by bringing up the coffee machine. Rather than blush, Ardanna grinned back, knowing it hadn't been her fault that it had malfunctioned. While Ju got up to welcome her friend and hugged her, Ardanna had never seen Mara be hugged before, but thought nothing of it since this was a get-together of like-minded people and she already had enough scuttlebutt aimed at her and Ollie to consider adding to the gossip.
Ju spoke about the usefulness of replicators in reference to what Mara had said, and they did have their uses, especially when you didn't want to visit one of the lounges or for quickness between shifts. Hally then teased her about the coffee machine incident, while also offering her support, which Ardanna greatly appreciated. " In my defence, it malfunctioned before I could even get my coffee, and I fixed it straightaway so there hasn't been any trouble with it since".
Hally talked to Lucy regarding the rocks she had collected, something Ardanna herself wasn't into, but then again she had plenty of hobbies as it was, before Ju brought up the subject of where the ship would be headed next, agreeing that a lack of monsters could only be a good thing. The idea of them going somewhere they'd never been before was interesting, and Ardanna wouldn't be against it.
" Either of those would be good, and it'd be nice not to be shot at for once".
Having been on two away missions within a short time frame of one another wasn't completely unusual, but if she was lucky to be included on the next one, then not having to fight for survival would be a nice change of pace. She loved her job, knew her capabilities and what came with the territory, so if it didn't happen so would be ready as always. The conversation shifted back to Mara, as Hally included the Chief in the other subjects that had been discussed.
