[Ameen to the Bridge. Lieutenant Powl, the situation in Sickbay is secure. The power draw to the pods must remain uninterrupted by any external factors. I am on my way to you.]
A few minutes later, the turbolift doors parted with a sharp hiss, and Commander Ameen strode onto the Bridge. His demeanor had completely shifted from the quiet, measured diplomacy he had used in Sickbay to the rigid, uncompromising discipline of a commanding officer stepping into a tactical standoff.
He didn't need Lieutenant Powl to give a lengthy verbal report; the situation was glaringly obvious the second he looked at the main viewscreen. Holding position just off their port was Nova-class science vessel USS Auberjonois, while on the starboard bow, dwarfing the Zephyr, was the heavily armed, imposing silhouette of the Akira-class USS Templar.
That's T'Kov's ship too... interesting...
Ameen ascended into the command platform, keeping his eyes locked on the imposing cruiser.
"Stand your ground, Lieutenant Powl. Excellent work holding them off," Ameen said, his tone projecting absolute authority to the rest of the bridge crew. He stepped past the center chair, preferring to stand tall in the center of the room rather than sit.
He looked toward the tactical console. "Have they attempted to establish a forced transporter lock on Sickbay?" Ameen asked, though his posture made it clear he was already prepared to counter such a move.
Without waiting for the full breakdown, Ameen gave the final order to initiate the confrontation. "Open a secure, ship-to-ship channel to the Templar. Put Captain T'Kov on the main viewer. Let's find out exactly what Starfleet Command thinks they are doing with my ship and our guests."
Ameen squared his shoulders, waiting for the Vulcan Captain's face to replace the image of the heavy cruiser on the screen.
