Jez was truly frustrated by the abrupt ending, she had hoped to see this to the end, rescue Commander Talion and Velaul, but it was an evaluation and she was pretty sure there was some twisted Star Fleet psychological need to see how officers handle abrupt endings to what they call official training, etc. Jez couldn’t help but think that this had Lt Andrea Tate written all over it. Torment the crew with endless psychological analysis.
I swear by the four sisters if Andrea asks me endless questions about my feelings of this suddenly ending.
However, Jez lit up with excitement when the Velaul hologram said, "Congratulations on the success, I have netted better results than I thought I would. Jez you expressed the very thing that every good leader goes through, there are going to be times we have to make a decision that makes us question if we did the right thing. Jez then turned to Cologero and smiled, "We make a great team, I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you."

Mike was so proud of Jez; he felt a little bad that he couldn’t have advised her in a greater capacity, but it was an official Star Fleet evaluation after all; he had been in these types of evaluations before, and he knew that Velaul needed to know is Jez and the other had what it took to be Department Heads.
Mike smiled when Jez mentioned having had a great teacher; he had to fight the urge to tell her what to do; that was just his Chief of Security training kicking in. He wasn’t just proud of Jez, but all these bright young officers. Something caught Mike’s attention. How would a hologram know what he had said to Jez about him not thinking Commander Velaul liked him?

Mike looked at the Commander Velaul hologram. He activated the sub-menu of his ocular implant to see if he could get any bio signs from the hologram, but the results were inconclusive.
The Velaul hologram said something that caught his attention: "Mike, for the record, I don't know enough about you to form an opinion one way or another; this did sway my opinion of you in a positive way. As a leader, I saw you recognized that she needed counsel, something we all need from time to time. You didn't try to tell her what to do, or even what choices she should make. Jason is going to need that kind of help too; someday he will come into his own and will need that guidance.

Mike found this puzzling. He knew most of the crew assembled on the Holodeck, but he looked around for someone he didn’t recognize. It would stand to reason that the unrecognized person must be this Jason, but he didn’t see anyone new.
Mike turned back to the Velaul hologram. “Excuse me, Commander, I beg your pardon, but who is Jason?”
