"Crew this is your Captain, we have been requested at urgency to go and assist the USS Lowry and USS Yeager on the Cardassian boarder. Information at this time is starbase 214 is being blockaded by Cardassian escort squadron. Cardassian invasion fleet crossing border. Fleet comprises three Escorts, three Battlecruisers, one Dreadnought. Lowry withdrawing. USS Yeager remains on-station. Current status, unknown and need immediate assistance. We being fairly close and able have accepted this task, I'm sure I can trust each one of you to perform to your best ablities under this high pressure. Captain Brooks out."
He closed the channel then said. At this point Cologero didn't know how to feel he just kept a smile all the same, they were going to assist another ship that could mean they would need some extraordinary plays for their book. One that could go between the Cardassian invader with the Federation ship, people were going to be lost along the way there was no stopping that.
"Mr Coppola, let me know when we are free of space dock and able to engage warp." Clearing of the space dock didn't take a long time at all, soon the hum of the warp engines filled the bridge before warp was achieved. Cologero started off with warp seven, a fast enough pace to get there really fast without taxing the engins too much.
"I want you to assist in finding any weakness in that dreadnought class ship we can use or any of the others, I want to be able to fly in there and surprise the hell out of them." With every force out there their greatest strength is also their greatest weakness, Cardassians were also known to be highly arrogant meaning they have no respect for their enemy. It is in this disrespect they never prepare for what the other is capable of, bottom line it could be the battle of the ego.
"Mr Coppola, how long will it take to get to the destination of where the Lowry and the Yeager are at warp nine?" Changing the speed part way in, Cologero entered the information how far they were going at that speed.
"Checking for you Captain." He wasn't sure off the top of his head, he was good with numbers just not that good.
