When Julia heard the announcement being broadcast all over the ship, she knew that her mother's visit was cut short and had to leave at once, and she didn't know when she will see her mother again. Troy said her goodbyes to her mother, and isn't sure if the triplets will stay with her cause they are so young or go with her mother and she won't be able to see them for awhile while she is with the crew. As far as Julia knew that she wasn't on maternity leave after giving birth to the triplets.
All Troy knew is that she is still on active duty as a counselor and medical officer aboard the ship and couldn't leave with her mother to wherever her mother and all of the other civillian's and the non-essential personnel while they are evacuating the ship. Julia hopes that the CMO comes back to sickbay, and she has a feeling that Surik as to evacuate with her mother off the ship. When that does happen Julia would have to compermonlize everything so she could do her job till they return.
If Surik does evacuate with her mother the triplets would have to go with Surik and would have to be bottle fed till they are all reunited. Julia doesn't like the feeling of being separated from the little ones at all.
