There was something that came across in her mind when Alex was bringing up some great points, one of them made her realize they were all planning some attack including her. Even with the risk being so high, there was room to state the opposite as well. "You want to know what is in this mans luggage? He is a clothes horse with a bigger shoe collection then mine." She had a playful tone for a second before going back to official, none of that mattered at this time.
As a tool this had potential to slow down the invading ship, as this would buy the fleet time it could be handy. The ultimate problem when it comes to talking was both sides needed to listen, she had no hate for anyone for her at least it would be easier. Beno for a second was thinking about throwing that mud. Still she knew that this was only going to be one part to a bigger plan. "Captain my final recommendation on this is to have Lieutenant Thorn here develop these tiny machines as a way of flinging mud, one of the ways to get them to make mistakes is to make them emotional." Cardassians have shown time and time again they can get emotional, then destroy their own well laid out plan.
There was also room for her to think the plan they were working on wasn't going to work, if they could get the fleet to attack the same spots it had a chance but not much more than that. The question was who was going to do the talking? The list was pretty long of Captains who would fit the bill, unfortunately the top name she had in mind retired a long time ago. "Lieutenant Coppola we need to go back to the drawing board, once we have the information required it will be easier to come up with a plan." Mala was right though it would look strange in a report about flinging mud, still not stranger than one Beno had to file as a junior Officer.
Beno realized that at this moment they were all talking in circles, all going back to the same point over and over again. What this is and what it is perceived as. At this point they didn't have a plan that needed further refining, what they really needed was something to make them stop and listen just like Alex was saying. There had to be something they could do to help the Fleet and currently they didn't have much at all. At this point they were going to need the Captains final word before proceeding, there was much to do with little time to do it in.
There was one thing that made Beno smirk for a bit, if the spokes person was a women things could get a little complicated. Cardassian women often refer to themselves as being smarter then the men, often talking down to them. They are more in the specialized fields, Science, Engineering, and even intelligence. If they were talked to a certain way then it was considered flirting, even when it comes across to everyone else as condescending.
They were going to have to move forward on something soon, it was going to be crunch time before they know it. "If all the enemy wants is to go to war, take away his ability to wage war." Ben didn't remember where exactly she heard this, but it seemed good at the time. Just then Beno remembered hearing a name Troy, somehow she doubted it had anything to do with the new mother. Who could also be a good asset in this, for a while new mothers had a heightened ability. "If we develop this enough we can essentially remove their ability to wage war, we are going to need a secondary plan." Right now if they had any information on what the fleet had in mind, then they could properly formulate a plan. "Captain is there a way to communicate with the fleet to see what they are doing?" At this point there was nothing more Beno could do, the final words were his as she was currently out. They just might need the last resort kind of plan, Beno had some ideas just needed a way to put them in motion.
