"It's my understanding that these logs are typically audio entries. Given that I am sharing space with 19 other crew from the Yeager, it would be uncomfortable and rude to attempt this verbally.
This is an attempt to gather my thoughts and stay out of what's commonly referred to by Counselors as 'a spiral'. T'rohhna's guidance and instruction in meditation has been helpful in the past, but, I suspect current events have surpassed my capabilities and understanding of the techniques.
Captain Braggins ordered the 20 of us to flee the ship before the seemingly inevitable clash occurs. No disrespect to the Captain or crew of the Yeager - that vessel has frequently punched well above its weight class, as the saying goes - but, against the Cardassian forces arrayed against it, there is no hope of survival.
Whether or not there's any hope for victory will depend on what parameters you set.
As the senior officer present - as a newly minted Ensign, no less - it's my responsibility to carry out the tasks laid on me by Captain Braggins. I will have to tap into the few mandatory command classes I had to take. I may not ever be in the center chair, but, there are plenty of other ways to be in charge of things. Current situation is Exhibit 'A' for that.
I was about to close this out when my mind brought something overall unrelated to the fore.
Who smokes any more, let alone on the Bridge? With reduced life support functionality!?
