Making the final revisions to the programming, Keti almost had everything set. The probes just needed to accept the download, then it would take just a few seconds for the program to work.
"Keti, deploy the buoy on the Captain's mark," she ordered jumping up from her seat so that she could monitor her station, but also go back and forth between Keti's and Cortez's.
The order came shortly after the final sequence, and as ordered they were being chilled to match the conditions of space. Keti wanted this to work just as much as anyone, or the cost would be too high.
Looking towards the Captain. "Probes ready for launch on your order." The program would work just as they talked about, with any luck it would create the opening they needed.
