While she'd been slightly envious of those who had visited the moon in the previous system, the feeling hadn't lasted long especially with having plenty to do negating any fomo in an instant. Besides, the brunette figured she'd done plenty last mission and it was only fair that others got the chance, knowing the Chief would call her should she be needed. Until then the systems specialist got her hands dirty, fixing the basics where appropriate or running the usual drills and weapons tests.
There was no better feeling sometimes, and when she wasn't on duty her time was usually spent with Ollie. Needless to say life was pretty darn good at the moment and Ardanna didn't mind admitting it.
With the ship now moving onto the next system, Ardanna expected much of the same as she went about her duties, talking to her team and those on the current shift rotation. Taking a moment to check off the list she had made since Mara was on the Bridge, a place the Ensign had yet to visit and only when she'd earned the right to do so. Respect mostly and knowing how much she valued being a lower decker, something she was in no hurry to change.
“ Okay listen up” she said addressing her team once her checks were complete. “ We'll meet in the phaser range in twenty minutes, so you've got time to grab a quick break, the last one there will be on cleaning duty for a week”.
She wasn't a complete control freak when it came to organising her team, taking her role as shift leader seriously, but it didn't mean that she wouldn't dish out the appropriate punishment if any of them slacked off. With that in mind Ardanna planned a quick coffee before ensuring that she was the first one at the range.
