Ever since receiving their latest assignment, Lorna and those assigned to Stellar Cartography had been kept reasonably busy, thanks to mission preparation and the amount of data the ship had received. Every bit of information, regardless of its significance, was studied and catalogued before being added to the database. Mostly the usual stuff one expected to find whilst traversing systems, comparing whatever was found against the old surveys, making it exciting for any scientist, and not just those who frequented this particular department. Every report was handed off to the Chief, who shared their delight in what was found, commiserated when necessary, but overall the positives outweighed the negatives.
When it came to 285-Upsilon-2, the same buzz of discovery spread through the Science Complex; even better was the information shared from the Bridge, specifically the probe data. Once again, Lorna and her colleagues pored over the discovery, itching to learn more as Lieutenant Devereaux caught the blonde's attention.
" Hey there, Lieutenant. We don't often see you down here. Is there anything I can help you with?"
