They were on the move, and as Hally took them toward Nalim as fast as possible, Aeryn focused on finding out what she could about their destination. Any information was better than none, in the scientist's opinion, especially given the nature of the distress call; at least that's how she saw it. Sure, there were other questions to be answered, and in time they would be, but at least they would be as prepared as possible. While she worked, Hally reached out to those on Nalim again, receiving no immediate response, before informing the Bridge of the outcome and how she'd kept comms active so they wouldn't miss anything.
Aeryn remained hopeful, as Robin then responded to Mara's call, the CMO already getting organised in terms of supplies and her people. Her friend then called again as Aeryn received the information she'd requested, revealing that there wasn't any medical information regarding the planet. Not completely surprising, considering they hadn't known about its existence till now. Winging it also seemed like second nature, for it wouldn't be the first time they had done such a thing.
As for what the CSO had found, it would give them a little bit more to go on and what they could expect before an away team beamed down to the surface.
" We might not have any medical information, but I've got plenty regarding the planet", Aeryn began. " It's a pretty standard M-Class planet, a little bit more arid than, say, Earth or Bajor, although it's still well within habitability standards. 55% of it is covered in water; however, the seas are smaller and clustered more than usual, so we've got swatches of rocky plains. Around the seas and other water features, the climate is quite favourable, with signs of greenery being less green than it was previously. As to why this has happened, it's difficult to ascertain without longer-term readings".
Aeryn paused for a moment to allow everyone to catch up before proceeding.
" Regarding habitation, the planet is mostly deserted, although there's a single settlement where a pair of rivers that come down from a mountain range meet and travel to the planet's main ocean. There are currently no signals being broadcast; however, a more focused scan shows that there were several small power sources in the area, along with ploughed fields and other works necessary for a colony".
Quite the revelation, really, as up till now Aeryn hadn't been aware that a colony existed, but the evidence clearly showed that there was life out here even if they were in trouble.
