Amila couldn't help but notice that Cortez had volunteered to help with environmental controls, but now was talking about the probes again.
"Cortez," Amila asked, "Are you still working with Baldwin on keeping life support in the essential parts of the ship within safe parameters while Molina redistributes power?"
"Don't spread yourself too thin," she warned. "One thing at a time, or you might miss something. Monitor that situation until everything is all clear. You've got the rest of us watching the Hidekis for now. Keti's got your back. Our people are important, and we're losing viable areas of the ship."
She pulled on her hair, tightening her ponytail, a nervous habit, as she continued to dig into what she could find. Really, less than a minute had passed, but it felt like so much longer. She could feel her uniform start to stick to the sweat on her back, but it was hardly a worry.

==GM CD, apologies, basically summarizing what science has been asking to put in one place for you : (1) How are the Hidekis responding to ECM probes, is there anything to Cortez's suggestion of a narrow range of modulation frequencies and suggestion of calculating their shield pulse parameters with probe frequencies to help tactical? Is Keti learning any more with sensors and trying to turn up the noise==
