Sebastian glanced toward Amila's station before returning his attention to the environmental-control display.
"Lieutenant Ra'an, I wasn't shifting over to the shields. I was offering a general suggestion based on the telemetry we've been seeing. Ensign Baldwin and I are still working the life-support problem."
He pulled Ensign Baldwin's environmental-control feed alongside his own readings, comparing pressure, temperature, and atmospheric circulation across the remaining viable sections.
"Ensign, I've got the life-support grid mapped against the current power distribution. I'm going to take the nonessential environmental loads offline in the affected sections and isolate their circulation loops. That should keep the remaining power available for atmosphere processing and primary environmental controls."
He began making the adjustments, shutting down climate-control systems in unoccupied areas and closing several secondary circulation paths. The remaining life-support nodes immediately showed a more stable power draw.
"I've also isolated the sections that are already compromised. We don't need to spend power trying to maintain areas we can't safely occupy, and separating those systems should reduce the load on the surviving environmental-control network."
Sebastian checked the latest readings before continuing.
"Ensign, if you can keep your power reroute away from these primary life-support feeds, I'll balance the environmental loads against whatever Lieutenant Molina can spare. That should give us a little more margin while the redistribution continues."
He turned his attention back to the atmospheric processors, watching the oxygen-generation and carbon-dioxide scrubber loads settle.
"We're getting a much cleaner power profile now. I'll keep working with you on the environmental systems while the rest of the bridge handles the tactical picture. Once we've stabilized the occupied sections, we can look at the shield telemetry again."
