It was clear that they were not going to win this by any kind of brute force, they were going to need to be more creative. The ECM was working perfectly now they were going to have to go more in depth, while Keti was paying attention to what was going on it almost looked like he wasn't. He was hard at work putting in further instructions to the probes, the purpose was to increase the activities between the probes. He wanted to give them something a little more interesting, it might give them the upper hand somehow.
As part of the process the communications were being staggered, some even went quiet only receiving communications never sending them. One of the probes "collecting information" went dark, suddenly two went dark both of them were no longer sending or receiving anything. This was part of the sleeper program that was already programmed, it was designed to be like a mine. Once the enemy ship went to go collect it, the programming would send it into overload and explode. It had the promise of doing some damage, but there was no way of knowing how much.
Two of the probes that were the furthest apart from each other, they were starting the process to hack into the Cardassian systems. The main purpose of this was to hopefully get them to break apart into a smaller group, what was left might be easier to handle or even slip through. If that was even a good idea, Keti would allow the Command team to figure that out. Right now the probes were going from data collection to dump, once they were ready the flow if information would overwhelm theirs.
That part of the plan would take time, Keti was focused on making the probes unpredictable to the Cardassians. As he worked everything was in the open for anyone on the Bridge to see, the adjustments that Keti was making took some time to do. A few seconds turned to minutes, thankfully not hours. "Updates are being uploaded right now." Keti closed his eyes for a second then blinked a few times. "I am not sure how this is going to work but its something." Keti started to hope more attention to the probes would take away from their own.
