There was a lot for Ava to process, the attacks of both ships and how the Cardassian ships were handling it. They might have advanced their technology but not the ship as a whole, its like building a great house on a bad foundation eventually it was going to fail. There was an idea that she had, but it needed work. If they were to launch the shuttles, they could get in close to launch smaller attacks. Giving them smaller targets that attack, the harder it would be for them to defend.
"Captain permission to launch the shuttles, if we can get them close enough they can evade attack from one of the ships. If they were close enough the other ships won't attack, unless they changed their policy about not firing on another Cardassian ship." It was a bit of a long shot at best, however in times like this almost any idea is a good one.
