Cortez sounded busy helping Baldwin keep the crew alive as they funnelled people away from areas they needed to be sealed off and anticipated more damage while Keti seemed to be working hard to help implement Cortez's ideas along with his own on how to keep the probes in play as Krandell initiated the chase when Amila heard Ava speak out.
Commander O'Fee's voice carried to Amila's station, "Captain permission to launch the shuttles, if we can get them close enough they can evade attack from one of the ships. If they were close enough the other ships won't attack, unless they changed their policy about not firing on another Cardassian ship."
How can we... that sounds like a suicide mission. Amila thought.
The shuttles were just as old as the ship. Trying to pilot the ships remotely would be clunky at best.
Then Amila remembered that Raven had used some type of drone in the science lab with them. She had mentioned it's intelligence was backed up or something, so it wouldn't act out like the exo-comps.
"Captain," Amila spoke out. In the midst of the emergency she had time to wonder if she would get flack for calling him that later, if they survived.
"Raven, Raven Singer in engineering. She might have a way to pilot the shuttles if you are considering it," Amila offered, briefly turning away from her panel to guage his response.
