Tyra smiled warmly as the young woman, Ju, responded to her greeting with a lightness that suggested she didn't know who Tyra was or, maybe, she didn't care, though that attitude was usually reserved for those that grew up among the admirality. She hardly seemed to have run in that circle but it was curious all the same. However, since Tyra tried to get some of her own crew to treat her like a regular human being, she'd take it.
“I hope you don’t mind me crashing your party. Damian and I met in a craft store which turned into a fun evening at Quarks’.. well it’s a long story.”
Tyra manages to keep her eyebrow in place, even as she took a drink of her moonshine to hide the smirk that almost escaped. It seemed this was one of the young ladies from the gummy bear episode Cera had recounted for her, though she was certain that Cera had stated Coleman had met the pair of midshipmen at Quark's. Cera was rarely ever wrong on such details but there was a first time for everything. The more important detail that Cera had related was that both of the midshipman had belonged to Jenny, making Coleman's choice rather daring if true.
“I’m an Engineer on the Philly," Ju explained.
Now, Tyra's eyebrow arched ever so slightly as her eyes shifted towards Coleman with a dangerously teasing gleam. He had to know he was playing with fire; Jenny was known for being protective of her young officers, as well as extremely hard on them, and she doubted Jenny would be impressed with one of her midshipman being paraded around on the arm of a first officer. She would no doubt give Coleman a teasing earful later, particularly since she'd be the one running interference for him with her own sister in law, but the young woman didn't need to be any wiser.
Fortunately, Mara jumped in to assure the young engineer that she was absolutely welcome while Tyra was amusedly looking at the next member of Jenny's kill list. It seemed Mara was just as willing to poke at Damian as Tyra was, though Tyra knew he'd come back swinging at some point.
"Now now, let the good commander revel in this rare win. It's not like there are very many of those once you switch from orange to crimson," Tyra said with a grin of her own, nudging Mara ever to slightly in the process.
"So, Ju, how are you liking the Philly so far? Is it still lugging around that curse or did they finally manage to excise it from the bulkheads and decking?" The redhead asked, her tone light and warm as if she was genuinely curious.
