Mara seemed utterly shocked as the story of how she snagged Commander Dashing’s attention in the most off the wall way. “Well to be fair, I had gotten covered in paint. Ichika ingested glitter, which she also proceeded to puke all over the floor around our Captain,” Ju couldn’t help but laugh, the whole thing sounded like something out of an anime or some sort of comedy show but to think it had actually happened to the both of them was true and had likely called more attention to herself than if she had just been a normal girl.
“Don’t knock the off the wall methods, I’d like to say it was diabolically planned but I really just happened to walk into a wall of accidents which led to spending time with him. I’m not even sure what it all means, but he brought me here, so I have a little hope anyway,” Ju blushed a little and took another sip of her strong drink while Mara refilled her now empty cup.
Except, it was the wrong time to be taking a sip because Mara admitted she was glad she had quit drinking but that she didn’t want Ju to think there was anything wrong with drinking. She told her to ‘do her’ or at the very least ‘the boss man’. At that terminology Ju snorted her drink in both shock and humor caused her to short her alcohol which went straight up her nose and then back out her nostrils. It burned, her eyes watered, and she cried out in slight surprise. Her eyes slammed shut and her left hand came up to squeeze the bridge of her nose in an effort to quell the pain even slightly.
As the pain receded Ju opened her eyes and wiped away the few tears which had escaped from both laughter and the sheer pain of alcohol anointing your sinus cavities with it’s cleansing properties. She would not have to worry about seasonal allergies for some time. Mara admitted that if things went south she could find others who could fill the needs of Ju since there was no shortage of men and women on board who were always willing to enjoy a good night together. Ju chuckled. “Well, I appreciate the .. uhh.. information. I’m not entirely sure what Damian and I have … or don’t. But, I’m not really like.. struggling for .. anything if you know what I mean.” Ju’s face had gradually grown brighter red with each piece of sentence she struggled to pull out of her frazzled mind.
“Okay so.. lets talk more about you! I don’t know anything about you at all under surface level. Do you have a special someone on board? If so; how did you guys meet?” That’s the ticket Ju, bring attention to someone else, not just yourself!
