Mara frowned for a moment and then realisation dawned. She hadn’t even thought of the effect a flash bomb would have on the CMO’s enhanced senses. She nodded.
“I will,” the Lieutenant replied softly.
She listened in as Aeryn outlined a plan, and again found herself frowning. Strong as the Bandaran was, she wasn’t keen on rushing into a fight against an unknown enemy with a Tactical officer at her back. She was even less happy about the idea of Miller leading Mayfair on the attack in the other direction.
I wanna say somethin’ bu’ I can’t. It’s Aeryn’s show. She calls th’ shots. Nobody is actually gonna get ‘urt so I gotta shut up an’ get on wi’ it.
Calleja bit her tongue and looked down the corridor where her quarry lurked in the darkness. Her eyes were already starting to adjust and she could see the shapes more clearly.
“Ya ready then flyboy?” she asked Grant with a half-smile.
