Peter was not going to take that kind of blatant disrespect to the Captain, regardless of his disagreements with her. She was, at the end of the day, a Starfleet Captain, and his CO, and he could not let that remark slip by unchallenged.

He was about to go on when the communications from the Yeager interrupted him. He cursed. He really wanted to give the guy the full extensive search treatment now, simply because he didn't like him. But there was no time.
"Copy, Yeager", he said. "We'll speed it up".
He gave Heathbridge a slight glare, before adressing the rest of the crew.
"Alright people, let's hustle. I expect you to know how to conduct a proper search quickly and efficiently, or I will be calling on your Academy instructors and have some choice words for them".
