As happy as Aeryn was to see Captain Crawford back where she belonged, the CSO hadn't forgotten what had transpired previously or what this would mean for the crew going forward. While she had initially believed this to be some kind of elaborate prank, no one was laughing or revealing as much as those in the room reacted to the unexpected arrival. Mara immediately got up from her seat and went over to Tyra, checking to see if she was okay. Aeryn heard the concern in her friend's voice before she turned her attention to Givens.
The COS didn't hold back either, as her demeanour changed from one of concern to one of hostility, and despite the anger spewing from the Bandaran, some of the questions asked weren't far off the mark, so to speak. Something was going on, and whoever was pulling the strings would no doubt be rubbing their hands with glee, over what was transpiring.
Aeryn disliked this person already, judging by what she was witnessing, how they could mess about with Tyra, taking away her command only for her to be brought back to the ship she had been pulled away from. As for Givens, she also seemed to be a pawn in all of this, as Carol audibly muttered something, while their new CE sighed and leaned back in his chair.
It was like they were spectators watching a tennis match, and Beka had somehow managed to replicate popcorn, which brought a wry grin underneath the surface of Aeryn's lips as Tyra spoke to Mara, before Givens cut her off.
Givens didn't hold her tongue either, her words almost like venom as she told Mara exactly what she thought of her, and how she would be the one to bring everything down around them. The way she spoke, and mentioned that Tyra wouldn't be able to do anything about it, left Aeryn gripping the edges of the PADD in front of her, noticing that Lucy was concentrating on making mission notes, as Crawford looked in Damian's direction.
She didn't know what was going to happen next, or how this would all turn out as Givens awaited a response.
